I just bought (for the first time ever) a family 4-pack season tickets to Darien Lake. www.godarienlake.com
Does anyone here ever buy season tickets to anything? Sports? Amusement parks? I vowed that 2008 was going to be a good year and I'm going out. So this is a start! I'm glad my fiance and I complement each other and he's into it also.
Share your thoughts? Summer plans?

Congrats, Mare on your seasons tickets to Darien Lake, I have always wanted to visit there, I am just north of Toronto and we are down that way all the time, it seems. passing thru, to somewhere else, mostly. Nope don't usually buy seasons tickets to anything anymore. You can never count on the weather in our area. It seems to want to rain every time we plan to do something, lol. My daughter used to always buy seasons tickets to Canada's Wonderland, and has even stopped now, just not getting the use out of them that she anticipated. I hope you do. Go and have lot's and lot's of fun! But I still love to visit all kinds of amusement parks and usually pick out a few and make our 'rounds' each summer, we have quite a few great parks and amusements here in Ontario, that I love taking the grandkids to.

Yeah Wonderland has changed owners a few times. The first owners used to have the soap stars there quite often (I want them back, lol). I haven't been in a few years, but have been told they have added quite a few new attractions, roller coasters, etc. I find there is alot of walking at any amusement park I visit. All part of the fun though!

I went to Canada's wonderland years ago (when I was married soooooooo it had to be between '96 and '00!!!) I didn't like it. The rides are (were) too scattered and it was a lot of freaking walking heehee. I may try it again. I certainly hope it has changed since then.

I haven't been to Darian Lake in way too long! We used to go there just every summer but then I grew up, got married, had my own family and we haven't been back...we have gone to Knoebels a few times though. Hopefully we'll be able to make it down there this year. I'd really like to get back up to Darien but it'd be hard to do the things I like up there with the little boys.

The youngest three are 5, 3 and 1 1/2...no Viper for them LOL...if I just took the older ones we'd be able to do most of the rides, my youngest daughter is almost 8 but tall so she might even be big enough for the big rides if she wanted to.

Good luck and congrats for the chance. Don't really have a chance to enjoy summer. I am here working and there's no available summer destination nearby. If only I'm in the Philippines, I'm sure would have a lot of fun this time.
