The Center of the Universe

Center of the Universe - On the northern edge of downtown Tulsa. This is zoomed, so it might be a bit out of focus.

The Center of the Universe is in Tulsa, OK! I've been there. I took a picture of it a few minutes ago from the office where I work. It's just a couple of blocks away. How it got its name, I don't know. I've heard different versions. Anyway, if you go to the middle of the pattern, there are weird acoustics, and when you talk, your voice echoes is a strange way. It's easy to imagine that you are speaking to the whole universe, and everybody else is muted. If you ever come to Tulsa, go visit the "Center of the Universe." Do you have odd places to visit where you live?

We walk past the Center of the Universe every now and then on our way to lunch (I work in Tulsa). It's just north of the Artificial Cloud - a tall metal sculpture that is kinda weird. I only found out that it was called the Artificial Cloud within the past couple of months. Of course it, like the Center of the Universe, might be something somebody thought up, and the original artist may have another name for it altogether.

It's one of those things that somebody said that somebody else told them that another person said... So I really don't know why it's called that. It is kinda cool, though, listening to the weird echoes. I was there today at lunch. I took some pictures (other than the one I posted already), but I was a bit disappointed - not with the pictures, but that somebody has vandalized it.

i don't think science has so much advanced as to be able to tell the universe and if it did it would be such a chance that it turns out to be on earth and that is few blocks from where u live! i live in multan also called the city of saints and dust, there r lots of weired places around.

Well, to get metaphysical about it, the universe is infinite in size, in which case its center is everywhere
