Another Obama Lie! Is He Capable of Telling the Truth?

First Obama says that his great uncle, Charles W. Payne was among the troops who liberated Auschwitz. Then when it was pointed out that the Soviets liberated that particular camp, he corrected it to Buchenwald camp while he was a member of the 89th Inf Div. Ok, I can live with a candidate who mistakes the names of concentration camps. At least that's an honest mistake, and probably not even Obama's mistake. Details of family stories often change over time. However, Obama's lie can't be shrugged off as a little detail or two. It turns out that Uncle Charles W. Payne not only wasn't in the 89th Inf Div in Europe during WWII... He was in the Navy in the Pacific. "Payne, Charles W. Enlisted 10 November 1942, Navy 6293977 Registered, order # 12017 Kansas City, Wyandotte Co. (Board # 4)" Not only does Obama shame himself by lying through his capped teeth, but he shames the service of his Great Uncle by misrepresenting his uncle's service. Is there even the least shred of decency in this man's body?

C.T. Payne - Private First Class, served in the 89th Infantry Division, 355th Infantry Division, Regiment K. Confirmed here: http://www.89infdivww2.org/ And Here: http://89infdivww2.org//home/list_p.htm" Oddly enough I found the second site from a guy who insisted the man DIDN'T serve in the 89th. Funny how his own reference contradicted him.

However, I'm getting conflicting information. Some reports how the middle initial to be a T, and others show it to be a W. Until that's cleared up - I can't say those links are actually referring to Obama's great uncle.

I thought it was "great uncle", but Obama just says "uncle"... but then gain, his mother is an only child too. We'll have to see how the Obamanites spin this lie.

To his credit, I don't know many people who refer to their great aunts and uncles as "Great Aunt", and "Great Uncle". To this day I still think of my Great Aunt as my Aunt, and refer to her as such when speaking about her. I don't see the point in fussing over whether or not he said "Great Uncle" instead of "Uncle". There are more important things than how a person refers to their family members.

For me it doesn't really matter with that kind of mistake. I mean, as long as he didn't lie about his uncle serving in world war II, does it really matter if he serve in the pacific instead in Europe. Do bullets more lethal in Europe than in the pacific? Do Germans more gentle compared with Japanese? The confusion can be justified since the person he's referring too was only his uncle, I mean he might not even had the chance to live under his roof. This kind of mistake is not only justifiable for Obama but for all politicians. Just my 1 cent

Yet it only took me 10 minutes to verify, but the little lying pissant and his staff didn't bother. If it was one lie maybe, but his lies are constant. He can't wait to talk to terrorists but he won't be straight with us.

How was it not a lie? It's not a matter of which camp his great uncle helped liberate. His great uncle wasn't even in Europe! Not only is it a blatant lie, it degrades the honorable service his great uncle did perform. Charles W. Payne served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific. If Obama wanted to use his great uncle's service, why didn't he just site the actual service his uncle did do?

"Yet it only took me 10 minutes to verify, but the little lying pissant and his staff didn't bother." It took me about 30 seconds to verify that he wasn't lying other than his mistake over the camp. Annie

Yet let McCain misspeak and the media is all over it. I guess by lying about his uncle he thinks he's sucking his followers into respecting him for his military experience. How did we end up with these 3 for candidates? It seems as if every time we have an election it gets worse. People need to get more involved before these people get this far.

I have actually read this on the news today. His spokeperson claimed Obama just messed it up or something like that and he didn't really intend to make up story. I believe in his desperate need/want to win this race he tends to do things that are irrational. But I think that he should check all information first before claiming of his family's heroic act/s.

If he can't be rational in running for president how can we expect him to be rational as president?

Well, I may not be from the US but if I were I surely won't vote for him.

Yes, politican are incapable of telling the truth and most people know this to be true.My definition of a politican is "Liar",none of them can fully understand or appreicate the joy in telling the truth or in being honest with the public at large; And this labeling of the presidential candidates with such mean spirited names as Obamoronic,Mcretard, and Hillaridiot I know that these candidates leave a lot to be desired but they shouldn't be made fun of or belittled in such a way.

When they make such blatantly stupid remarks, they deserve the bilittling they get. Obama is worse that any of his critics imagine.

Uncle Payne must have gotten sea sick and it was a genetic disease passed down to Obama's generation. Does he not understand the age of information and absolutely no privacy?

Obamoronic just cannot catch a break. I do wonder how the Obamites will try to spin this. I have never understood why so many are willing to fall on the verbal hand grenade. Remember Obamoronoic is the Greatest communicator of this generation, he would unite a divided country by just his word, what a joke. Maybe Obamoronic is just that stupid, and his worshipers are just not that bright.

Not that bright, eh? Funny, because most Democrats hail from the most highly educated and wealthiest states while most Republicans (you remember - the RED states?) are from the poorest and least educated. Regardless of the fact that exceptions to both exist, people who support and like Obama are not morons. You might want to check out the link in my response (#12).

Well my Dad always said if a person will lie to you they will also steal, and do anything else, because they have no conscience. I have found this to be the case during my life. I think Obama and his cronies will say and do anything to try and winn people over. I just wish that so many of our young people who will be voting for the first time weren't so gulable. I am afraid that if Obama gets in office he will do things that will make these young adults never trust our government again. Who knows though, maybe that will be a good lesson learned.

http://www.89infdivww2.org/ You might want to check out this link which shows a Charles T. Payne serving in the very infantry Mr. Obama mentions. It was not unusual for people to take names they preferred or use different birth dates in order to be "old enough" when joining the service. They didn't ask for proof in most cases when accepting the enlistment. My maternal great grandmother was born Mary Bertha, but when she got married at 14 or 15, she claimed she was 18 and that her name was Bertie M. My own mother had no clue that her grandmother was actually named Mary, even though her own sister was named Mary. In fact, both daughters were named after their grandmother - my mother is Bertha. You have done genealogy - you're telling me that you have never found people in your family who wrote their names differently in different records? My great uncle told me we were descended from horse thieves and other nefarious souls, but I found quite the opposite - in his branch, they were almost all ministers!! I find it hard to believe that you, of all people, someone who has had experience with genealogical findings, could believe that no one else might only know what they were told until the evidence was placed before them. That doesn't make what was believed a lie - it means it was simply incorrect, but not deliberately so. So, please, Ted. Give this one a rest.

He is not capable of telling the truth because, he does not know his own family history. Sen. obama is the biggest fraud I have seen in politics in the past 30 years. If he knew his own famliy history he would know "as you stated" that the Russians liberated Auschwitz but, this is another political trick by Sen. Obama to connect with blue collar workers and he seems to have failed.

Maybe he didn't think he had to verify the source of the information since he knew his uncle personally. I haven't heard one lie out of his mouth yet. Hillary....well, that's a whole other story. She's plagiarized Bush's playbook.

Oh, my goodness so you have never made a mistake??? I am not an Obama supporter, but I do believe that everyone is entitled to a mistake as a matter of fact the idiot that is in office makes them what daily? Do you think that the person you are supporting doesn't make mistakes? We are human and there isn't one among us that hasn't and if they so have haven't they are lying.
