I want to know what kind of ingredients you put into your meat sauce when making speghetti. I normally put green peppers and some italian seasoning. I have thought about some onions or something else. I figured asking the Mylot community would be a good idea instead of ruining my next batch of speghetti. Please share.

Mine is usually tomatoes, onion, garlic, parsley, oregano, basil, and a little bit of salt. I do not normally put meat in my pasta sauce. I will sometimes toss in chunks of Italian sausage though.

That all sounds pretty good. I never thought of Italian sausage. I bet that taste better than the hamburger meat. I'll have to try all of that out. Thanks!

Well, after hamburger(of course) I can fry up some bacon crisp. Crumble it up and throw it in. Gives it a nice little kick. I like black olives. Sometimes, if I have some available, and I am in the mood, I toss those in too. Great! Now I am hungry.

I quite often put mushrooms, onions, garlic and pepper in my meat sauce. I have also used Hot Italian sausage meat instead of the regular type hamburger meat. This is excellent when making spaghetti or lasagna type dishes.

my wife is the one who cooks in the house, she saute garlic and onions with beef before she pours the tomato sauce. she puts small slices of hotdogs and they are so yummy. sometimes she puts botton mushroom too. she puts a little cheese that melt with the ehat of the sauce while cooking. i love the way she prepares spagetti.
