What do you think of Oprah? Love her? Hate her? Oprah who? Do you watch her show faithfully or catch it when you can? Do you follow her bookclub? My biggest question of the discussion...... have you ever talked to someone who truly believes that she is the anti-Christ? I have and wow do they make quite a case to support it. Share you thoughts please.

yeah she is the anti-christ. the only thing she is missing is the horns. she is misleading people with this new world crap, and telling christ is not the only way. the way that she is teaching is the truth. what a hypocrite. anyone who listens to her is an idiot.

Well, I have actually listened to her discuss books before, so I hope that anyone listening to her is not necessarily an idiot. I sure have heard of a lot of people feeling a bit mislead by her as you speak of.

Give a person like oprah about 2 million followers and they think they're angel/prophet. Give them a 2million more they believe they're god.

Ever since she got together with Eckard Tolle and did the online class of his latest book - A New Earth, lots of people think she is the Anti-Christ - you only need to read the message boards on her website to read all about it. It's quite an interesting read too LOL People believe in different things and when a person who is well known goes against their beliefs, they run them down and call them names and this being one of them. I watch most of her shows and read some of the book selections because I choose to. I couldn't care less if others liked her or not. Each to their own or however the saying goes.

Really??? they are writing about it right on her website? I'll have to go have a look. Honestly though, the first time I ever heard someone say this was long before anyone knew Eckard Tolle.

LOL I used to like her years ago and My Grandad thought she was an amazing woman and watched her every day! From what I know of her she is very philanthropic and caring but she is also very rich and powerful. I wish I could make an insightful comment but I am not well enough informed to state a definite opinion! xxxx

My opinion of her has waxed and waned throughout the years. Now, I pretty much just wish I lived in her house in the hills near Santa Barbara, California.

I use to watch her now and then, but about the last year or so I really can do without her. She doesn't, at least to me, flaunt her wealth, but it is very clear that she isn't hurting for money the way she acts. I find that a bit bothersome, then there is her speaking manner. I don't know why she must repeat herself. It seems some shows almost every statement she makes she repeats. That really bugs me. I don't care for the way she is about making statements that are of her own opinion, but she thinks that it needs to be stated as fact, especially when she is on her spiritual bend. I guess that's my two cents worth. I don't know anything about her being the Antichrist. She seems pretty mellow for that role. I don't think she is. Beamer23

Wow! This is certainly an interesting spin! From Henry Kissinger to the Pope...... and now Oprah? Given that she is such an influential icon I can see how people may be concerned with some of the messages she is in a position to present to the world; but the "anti-Christ"?? I do watch her show from time to time (Thanks to the wife!) and have to agree that she sometimes can be a little one-sided and even naiive about some topics; but I don't see her in a negative fashion overall. She is just someone who has earned her way to being influential and sometimes commercially abuses this I guess. It's all business!

I agree with you, it is all business. I find humor, myself, in looking back over all the years at people who have been antiChrist suspects.

Hi makingpots! I have never heard of such accusation before about Oprah being the anti-Christ. I guess, even if I haven't yet heard of the reasons or whatever valid evidences they have, i don't think that she is anti-Christ. I do watched her shows once in awhile and there are so many things that I have also learned form the insights of her and her guests. There have been so many famous personalities too before that were named as the anti-Christ but it never was true. Take Care and God Bless! Celebrate Life!

How could you say something like that about Oprah. I watch her show from time to time. Don't follow the book club or the discussions. How would you think that she is the anti-christ?

Hi, twallace. I don't personally know enough about Oprah or the subject of the antiChrist to make such an accusation of her. This is an argument I have heard others make and I was hoping someone here would speak out and present the verses that such people use in making this accusation. My intent was purely for discussion purposes.

that sounds rather silly to me. she is just an intelligent woman who has made a big name for herself and she did it the hard way.i believe she is a religious person herself and have never heard otherwise about her myself.

I believe that the antiChrist is said to be a religious person, or at least one who presents themself as such. I wish I knew more on the subject. Hoping someone here will shed some light.

I am NOT an Oprah fan at all, I have zero respect for her, she built herself up from nothing and now doesnt seem to remember the hard times. What ticked me off about her is her passing jugement on pregnant teens when she was one herself, she comes off as a better then tho attitude. I just can't stand her, sure she helps people only to keep herself in the spotlight, as far as being the anti christ sure I believe it.

I'm sure you could delve into the history of other people and come up with heaps more potential anti-christs. Oprah's a wonderful women who thinks of other people. However I would like to hear the arguments the person you spoke to has to support their theory. Interesting. Yeah I watch Oprah, I must admit she annoys me sometimes, she's a bit over the top and seems to talk over her guests sometimes but all in all she does good things for charitya nd people in need. She's come from a tough place and she's full of compassion. I don't follow her bookclub though she's been going on about Eckhardt Toll's (excuse the spelling) book for quite a while now so I might check it out.

Hi, coffeeshot. I am hoping this discussion will bring out some supporters of this theory. I would love to see some of the evidence they present. I have only heard this mentioned before and never really had a real discussion about it.

Hi makingpots, This has to be the craziest thing I have ever heard. I neither love or hate her, but I know she has done some good things for people. I did watch the Telecast with Eckhart Tolle and The New Earth, and found it to be excellent. Every generation seems to have at least one person that they call the anti-Christ, but has to be the biggest joke of all. Blessings.

That is exactly what came to my mind when I first heard this arguement - that every generation as at least one person that they call the anti-Christ. I can remember when this same discussion was about Billy Graham.
