this is very subjective. normally i will call my friends after 10am and before 11pm. in malaysia, most of us does not have a fixed time for dinner as some family might eat out or might even have their dinner individually, therefore, there's no specific time to avoid calling. if i accidentally awaken someone, i would apologise and inform them that i will call them back later.

Sounds like a good policy for here except I don't think I'd call after 10pm, just because I know a lot of early risers.

Thats a tough one and depends on the person and their lifestyle. If its someone I know I may call a little leter at night but never after 8pm. I wont call anyone before 9am unless I know they get up early. People that have young children I never call at bedtime because I know that is a busy time for families. I also dont like to call anyone around dinner time.

So families with young kids who eat dinner only hear from you before 4 pm?
