I'm happy now

I'm happy now my daughter and her husband are home from their trip to the United States. Life just isn't the same without her here. The grandparents from her in laws did most of the grand parenting and I did some also. Both children were good as gold but you could see it in their little faces that they missed both Mom and Dad. I'm scared to death of airplanes, it's awful. When your kids go away do you do the grandparenting?

Being a gramma is the highlight of my life. I love being a gramma. Two of my grandchildren live here with me, their mom and dad are here too. I get to be gramma everyday.

How wonderful it is that everyone gets along so well. Being a grandma is the highlight of my life as well. I waited a long time. I was 51 years old when my grandson was born and I had my heart attack in February and he was born in May. Now I have a granddaughter as well.

Thank You for your response. I would like to apologize however to everyone else responding. This post is only three hours old and I did not give BR but when I went in to check my responses I see BR was given. This is twice this week so I'm not sure what's happening with myLot. I am not getting my Emails either. Grrrr

I love my grandchildren as much and in some cases more than anyone else, however my batteries are going going gone some days hahahaha. I do what I can but because of health reasons I am very careful about being totally on my own for more than a day at a time.

I really don't get to see much of my grand child, even though he know lives in montreal, where I am they don't come to see me and I can't walk to be able to go and see them.

Since my kids don't live nearby, we don't see them that often. I do remember one summer when my older daughter and her husband were moving I kept the kids for them. Two turned into four and by the end I was about ready to scream! I do babysit when they come down and maybe they want to go out to eat or to a movie without the kids. I don't live in a place that is very kid friendly cause I don't have a yard or any place for them to play.

Sometimes......I will be doing it in July when my son and his wife take a short trip for their anniversary. I have her overnight alot anyway ...and she prefers to stay with me anyway..she calls me her "right" grandma.
