what do you do to promote your etsy shop?
I put my link here in my profile. I have it also on all other sites I am on for people there to see. I only have 10 items listed so far so I haven't put a lot more into promoting it yet but I'm getting ready and I'm curious about how others are doing this.

to find some popular forums and communities like mylot.post as much as possible to get traffic and attention.what's more,you can put it on your blog and any other public space.

I am not familiar with this site, but I would think that if you have a blog or website, you could put a link there and maybe do a post about it. Another idea that works well for me is to include a link to your shop in the signature section of your email. That way every time you send an email out you also send a link to your shop.
Could you tell me a little bit more about etsy? It is a site that I have not heard of before. What sort of things can you sell there?

etsy is a community that sell only handmade or hand crafted items or the supplies to create them. There are also vintage items on etsy. I was suprised but almost everything I could need or buy for presents can be found at etsy. My personal shop is filled with sculptures and paintings done by my husband and also jewelry that I have created.

Or if you join a street team on Etsy, it will help you promote your store with other like minded crafters. One of my favorite street teams is Diy Scene (just pm me on here if you would like more info)

Hello,I have a shop on Etsy and I also sell my artwork on Ebay.
I do far better selling on Ebay.
But back to promoting my Etsy shop:
- I have a link to it in my Flickr profile
- I have a link to it in one of my blogs.
However, posting on the Etsy forums is a way I have made a few sales.
Etsy sellers are also buyers!
Back to the Etsy forums: there is a huge amount of information that Etsy sellers could provide to you about ways to promote your Etsy shop.
One thing you could do, which I do for my ebay store is, provide a link to it in my signature, in every email message I send.
You can open up Facebook and Myspace accounts and load pics of what you are selling on Etsy.
You can blog about the items you have for sale on Etsy.
You can set up an Etsy mini in the places I mentioned above.
