My Son's Airway Dilation Today

I'm presently sitting in the recovery unit with my son. He is still asleepl from anesthesia. His procedure went VERY well. Alot of times you can read peoples expressions on their faces, without even hearing the words--- and I'm getting POSITIVE vibes! I have before and after pics of his airway from the bronch cam--- AND i have pics of him when we were playing while waiting. Later today or tomorrow, I'll have them on his blog. If all goes well, and the opening of his airway doesn't close back up, we will do this same procedure again in 6 weeks to open it more. Hopefully, this DOES stay open, and the next procedure will open it more. All of this is to prevent having complete airway reconstruction with a stint and rib cartilage. The docs are hoping that if this does not open his airway up to prevent surgury, it should lessen the severity and recovery period for the surgury. Anyway, just wanted to update all of my mylot friends. Any time I post something here it always turns out positive. Regardless what it is, mylotters have the power of prayer. I think this should be called prayerlot. I'm praying that we have a positive out come with this and Keith can have a more normal airway and be trach free. Please pray. I'll talk to you guys soon
