I know some of you have more than one male dog. I have 3 ranging in age from 1 to 4 years. They play with each other. Mostly the young ones. What I have a problem with is they mount each other. Is there anything I can do to stop this other than repremanding them? They keep doing it. I know they are males and this is a normal thing for them to do with a female. They are doing with each other, all males. I just want to know if there is a way to get them to stop? I would appreciate any ideas. I've not had ones do this before. I make them stop when any one is doing it and tell them it's a no-no. I get a funny look from them and they just ignore me sometimes. Other times they wait and do it later. Thanks for all help and replies.

we have this dog the only male dog, i don't get along with him coz he follows all the girls around even boys sometimes especially when it's girls wearing shorts... little girls up to my mom... it's really awkward for me! when we come across with him inside the house and it's just me and my other dog, i carry her(my dog) then we both run away together! then last month my uncle was trying to put a wire around his thing, so it'll get off and he'll stop chasing everybody!

actually his previous owner was the one who confirmed that to us he gave the dog to us coz they said they had them for 4 years and he still bit the owner and embarrassed them by doing that bothering thing to one of their guests

When males dogs behave this way, they are trying to show dominance over one another. Try startling them with a squirt of cold water or loud noise, that may break them of it, but may not! They're just doing what dogs do!

Thank you for the suggestion. That is how I use to keep my cats from doing what they were not suppose to. I don't know why I never thought to do it with the boys. I know it's normal for them. I just wanted to stop them.

You have to be the boss - the pack leader then they will know that they are all equal and will stop trying to be the pack leader. check in with the Dog Whisperer & get ideas on how to handle it from there. my male dogs, even my son's 2 big dogs (when they come over & visit) know that I am the pack leader so none of them try it to establish dominance. they are already dominated - by me. i do have to admit that my fully intact male pekenese does try to mount my son's neutered female Saint Bernard. that has been too amusing to us to try to stop. poor old dog gets so frustrated tho- he can't reach.

That's the problem I've had with the one, the youngest. He is still intact and he's the one mostly that tries to do it with the other 2 small ones. They know I'm pack leader here, even my rotti, but when it comes to each other I don't think at least one is so sure. Plus he is the baby just a year old. Yhank you for the suggestion. I will try that.
