Falling Raindrop trivia - how fast?

Depending upon it's size and shape a falling raindrop falls at the rate of 5 to 20 miles per hour.. I thought that was interesting trivia...

..on a par with the experiment whether running through the rain keeps you drier or gets you wetter (it gets you wetter). What's the hardest rainfall you've ever seen? Do you think the rain was falling faster than 20 miles an hour?

I think too much rain or too fast a rain is definitely spooky.. and floods.. yikes.
