Have you ever been talking to someone and they rolled their eyes at you?

Do you ever have someone roll their eyes at you or act impatient when you're trying to talk to them, as if they wished you'd hurry up and get finished so they could do something more important? This has happened to me before, and I totally hate it! I'll be talking to someone and then out of the blue, they roll their eyes and let out that sigh sound, like they're impatient for me to finish or they just don't believe what I'm saying. How rude is that! I'm so glad that we can't hear each other online, cause I'm sure some of the people that visit my discussions do the same thing. LOL! But, seriously. Maybe it's just an involuntary response, like a yawn or sneeze, just more rude. At least I think it's rude when a person can't let someone finish their own thoughts before passing judgement. I try to let everyone finish speaking their minds, so why not be afforded the same opportunity? Are people in such a hurry these days to get out their own opinion that they have no room in their mind or heart to hear what another person has to say? Do other people not know they're being insensitive and rude when they do stuff like roll their eyes or act impatient when someone else is talking? What's your thoughts on this?

With a career that involved managing teenagers in a fast paced, customer service environment, I saw this alot. At first, I admit I instinctively thought they were being disrepectful and a few of them truly were doing just that. More often than not I found that it was an action they did without even knowing they did it. When they felt overwhelmed, the eye roll or "whatever" hand which I find far more rude that the eye roll would came into play.

Yes! Thankyou! That's the words I couldn't think of. It's the "Whatever!" response. I have adults do that to me, too. And, it's the combo that's the real kicker. I wish they'd find another way to express themselves and use their big people words. LOL!

No, except in some discussions on meetings and in school where your co-workers are feeling sleepy. Maybe you talk so long like the way you do with your discussion. Sometimes we must talk less with meat on it. Dont get me wrong, I mean say what you want to say and thats it.

Oh I know that feeling I hate it also. It was the wrost when I saw my cousins at my Grandma'a house on my mother's side. They all had that additude like I was underneath them and if I said anything to them I got the eye roll. What really aggervated me was when they would all go to the beach and never ask me to go. That use to make me so upset.

It's happened to me before. The person that tends to do it to me and my partner all the time is always in a hurry to go do something 'more important'. Their idea of more important tends to be sitting online all day talking to people. Or sitting online doing nothing but staring at webpage after webpage never really accomplishing anything. It gets old after awhile. It's just gotten to the point we don't even talk to them much anymore.

Yes I have and she didn't get the job.I am a supervisor and was hiring so I had to enterview and one lady was rolling her eyes at me as I was telling her about the job,I felt like saying why don't you just leave but I am not a rude person so I just didn't hire her. People should slow down that is why we have a rude society today are at least one reason.Have a great evening.

My husband does it to me all the time. In today's society we want to get everywhere fast and don't like waiting. We are trained to be in a hurry no matter what we are doing.
