Is it possible to increase the speed of the internet with some softwares?

Technically, and most of the time, you can't get past the maximum speed a allotted to you by your internet provider. However, when downloading files, there are quite a lot of download managers that can help you maintain 64kbps almost all the time. Try Internet Download Manager. These software downloads your files multiple times at the same time. It connects to the host of the file at least 4 times at the same time to try and reach your maximum speed. As for website, it will depend most of the time on the host of the website. The server containing the files may have limitations or has been received quite a bit of traffic. I'm not sure if there is a good web page accelerator out there. You can search around for more. :)

I use a windows cleaner, it keeps your system clean and makes it run at it's peak,if you don't purge those temp files and cookies on a regular basis your system will slow down. Also don't forget to defrg. at least once a week that also helps alot. Good Luck! tdemex

If your using firefox there are tweaks for fast computer with slow connections. Check this site http://www.tweakfactor.com/articles/tweaks/firefoxtweak/4.html When I was in dial up I use to turn off image display and just turn it on things that I really would like to see. This way page will load faster because pictures will not be downloaded, a blank box would just appear in its place.

I have tried using software to increase the connection speed but it didn't work not really good. With dial up you have to deal with what is given from the connector. The area that i live in doesn't have high speed so i have to work with what i have.
