Using stuff on the shelf and then putting it back

I was at the store the other day. I was walking down the detergent isle. I saw a woman take a bottle of Febreeze and spray it all over her dress, then she put it back on the shelf. and walked off smiling at herself. I just thought that kind of strange. Have you seen anything like this or have you done anything like this??? I mean I will spray a little bit of freshener in the air just to see what it smells like. But I won't use any products without buying it first.

Wow, I can't believe that she'd just use it on herself like that! I can honestly say I've never done that before! I will use lotion samples, and stuff like that, but only if it actually is supposed to be a tester product and has the little "tester" sticker on it. I sometimes take the cap off of something just to see what it smells like if I'm not sure I want to try it, but I don't actually use it unless I've bought it. I just think it's really rude to use something like that without buying it! I think it's unfair to whoever ends up paying for the product-if several people tested it out that way, then whoever buys it won't be getting everything that they paid for.

You never know the story behind things like this. Maybe she had her water turned off, and hadn't taken a shower in days??? Anyway, I can say yes I've done things like this. I always spray the sample colognes on myself before buying them, cuz spraying them in the air doesn't mix the chemicals with my body, so wont smell the same as it does on me. I've also grabbed a couple of grapes out of the bag and handed them to my parched tired screaming child on a hot afternoon as I walked through the store. And there was a time when we(my family) were in a really bad spot and we'd grab up handfuls of the creamers, ketchup, and mustard packs at the gas station for later.

I understand what you are saying. but she really looked like she had taken a shower. As for the sample perfumes, thats what they are used for is to sample them. I have opened a box of cookies and given them to my kids while walking in the store, but I also intended to buy the box. we have gotten extra packs of condiments also, but those are free. thank you for commenting.

That's why when I go to the store to buy something I like I always choose the products that are closer to the back of the shelf..

i always see something like that in malls. customers make use of the display products for sale without buying it. i did not try something like that because i felt that it is not right to use something which is not yours.
