Did you baptize your laptop with a certain name?

Hi everyone. I was responding to some discussions regarding laptops and I noticed just how attached we have become to this gadget. I wonder if anyone of us have baptized our laptops yet with any names. I know that some ladies do baptize their bags and purses with certain names and I know some men who also baptize their cars with a name. Do you think we should do the same with our laptops? It would be interesting to hear from you all. Thanks!

When I first got my laptop the words 'Windows Vista' was set as the screensaver the words twist and turn etc. Got rid of 'Windows Vista' and wrote 'Dream Machine' so I guess Dream Machine is my laptops name!! 8)

Dream Mystique..I mean Dream Machine. :) Btw, how did you get rid of the Windows Vista word? I'm using WIndows Vista too and it shows everytime I turn on my Acer. :)

Very interesting. I have a laptop and i'm very attached to it. It's one of my favorite possession, but i never thought of giving it a name. I guess i'm not that type of guy who gives names to his gadgets, it would be cool to give it one though.

Naming your gadget makes it even more special I guess. As I mentioned earlier, some ladies baptized their bags, esp. the high end ones with nicknames. Hey, a laptop is pretty expensive too, so it's worth it. If I have to baptize my laptop, I may call it ACE relative to its brand. :)

I know of a guy who named his Ford truck ED because of the 2 letters in the plate number and another guy who named his SUV, Gill because of the letters GL. Funny! :)

That is funny i never thought of doing that but why not. I think I would call mine "Dell" that's not a big secret is it? I'm not that creative.

I Called My Laptop "The Contessa"
