Do you wear makeup on a first date?

Pretend for a minute that you were going on a romantic first date and could only wear one type of cosmetics. What would you choose? Would you choose just to accentuate the eyes with eye makeup? Would you choose to cover skin imperfections with foundation? Would you wear lipgloss?
Assuming that I was actually in the market for dating, I would definitely choose the foundation. I can't live without my Mineral Girlz foundation. It makes my skin so soft. It covers like a dream and never irritates my sensitive skin.
If I had only one other item that I could wear on a date, it would be my lipgloss. Gotta have those kissably soft lips! I could always mix some of my cheek mineral makeup with the lipgloss for a richer lip color. That works too. What type of cosmetics do you wear on a date? Or, just around the house?

I always cover my face with foundation when I go on a date and cover girl compact. I also were lip gloss or a lip stick when I first meet the man I am going out on a date with. I am going to look up this brand of foundation. Unfortantly I have dark undereyes. Everyone tells me it's not that bad but I can still see it.I also wear Vanilla fields prefume and blush.

Mineral Girlz is the best! And, it's for women of all ages, from teens all the way through my age, early thirties and beyond. The Mineral Girlz website has some phenomenal before and after photos of women in the thirties and forties (like me!) and they are incredible. Mineral makeup does really make such a difference in the texture and quality of the skin. I haven't had a breakout since I started using it.
Plus, they have a really yummy line of bath and body that makes the skin feel so super soft!
I put two banners for the Mineral Girlz makeup on my profile if you want to check out their products. I can't say enough good things about them. Best of luck. Let me know how it works out for you.

I don't wear makeup at all. I don't believe in makeup. Why should I have to paint my face? I think I look just fine the way I am, and if the rest of the world doesn't think os, tough friggen crap!!

That's a really good point!
I had not thought about that.
A guy should accept a lady for
the way she is and not expect
her to pretend anything.
Thank you both for your insightful answers.

I don't wear make up very often at all. My husband doesn't like it.
Before we got married, I usually just wore a little bit of eye liner and a little eye shadow. Sometimes I wore lipgloss, but it wasn't something I wore every day or anything.
On a first date, I probably did wear lipgloss most times, along with the eye make up. I didn't ever wear foundation or anything like that, though, because it has always bugged me.

I don't wear real makeup that often
but I do wear the Mineral Girlz
mineral makeup. You can't even tell
that you have foundation on.
It just looks like the skin is so beautiful,
even tone, no blotches!
It's amazing and so much more affordable
than the other brands.

LOL. If my date would be in a market, why to wear make up?..
well, I do wear make up whenever I have dates. I can't live without it. I think just to become more presentable with your date. I can't wear just one..my make up consist of foundation, lip gloss and blush on. that would be perfectly fine for me. if my date would just inside our house, a powder, blush on and lip gloss will do.

You make me giggle! I do appreciate your humor. I would not need makeup in the market, either. But, the lighting in such a place is very unflattering. I have heard that the market is a fine place to meet a man. I am not sure if that is true.

I would wear the same amount of makeup I wear everyday - no more, no less. If I'm going on a first date, I don't want to look any different than I do on a day-to-day basis. I generally wear blush, eyeliner, concealer in neutral tones and plain lipgloss. This is the same cosmetics that I would also wear around the house. I would try to impress a date by being myself, with hopes that he would see the real me and appreciate me for who I am.

Hmm - actually, maybe I should answer the question correctly. Heh! If I could only wear one thing on a date, it would be eyeliner. Simply worn, not exaggerated.

Well, I usually wear makeup when I am going out, no matter on a date or not. I think if I am going on a romantic date, I would focus the makeup on my eyes and my lips, probably my signature smoky eyes and pink/ red lips. I don't specially change my style for anyone, because I guess what he sees on the first day is what he will get later on. *smiles*

On a date: Lipgloss, powder and maybe very light eyeshadow & mascara. It would be weird to stick to just one type but if I really really had to, it would be lipgloss. Helps brighten up my face. My cosmetic brands vary - I'm not a very brand conscious person so I buy whatever that I can afford at that time.
Around the house: Nothing. I like to go barefaced as often as I can. I find that make-up, especially full make-up is suffocating for my skin.

I always liked the natural look with a little shimmer . If I could only pick one item it would have to be a lipgloss , I can't live without color and shine to my lips . Lips they would look all sexy for my date lol

For a first date, or even just meeting someone I like for the first time, I try to make sure I look my absolute best. I have really big, blue eyes, so I like to accentuate my eyes. Clear, soft skin is key too, but nothing too heavy because it doesn't look natural. And of course, a pink, light, non sticky lipgloss would be my choice. I just found a pink lipgloss by Wetnwild that's like two dollars and looks GREAT.
