Coupons and savings from the manufacturer

I have never written to the manufacturer of a product asking for a coupon, but I have read that many others have. Just wondering how I go about doing this. I am assuming you need to go to each website and ask them from products, but do you ask for specific products or whatever they will send you? If you do this, could you tell me, first of all, which companies are the best about actually sending the coupons... And also what you need to ask for(ie general coupons for whatever they have, or a coupon for a specific item) Any information you could give me would be awesome. Thanks in advance.

Hi Adelida2233. I have gone to a manufacturers website & requested coupons before. If it's online they generally send you the coupon requested just by entering your shipping information. When I first got started in getting freebies, I joined StartSampling.com and got product samples as well as coupons. I still visit to see which manufacturers have sponsored samples and they usually arrive in a few weeks, depending on the popularity of the item. Because I also need coupons at the grocery store I found a free printable coupon site called coupons.com. They let you print out your coupons right from home. The nice thing is that I signed up thru MyPoints.com and now, everytime I print or redeem coupons, I get extra points at MyPoints and redeem them for giftcards which stretches my budget even further. :)

I have also signed up for coupons.com through mypoints, so I'm getting the bonus points there too. Every little bit helps. Thanks for your response, off to the products websites I go...
