We all know the United States is full of all different nationalities many here on a work visa. I know many people that come here and have many many people living in the same house sometimes in the upward of 12, all adults I might add. I know this is happening all over America. Many of them working 2 jobs, they pay the rent and buy neccessities and then send the rest over to thier country. Every week while I am shopping for work the western union lines are long. People with wads of money sending it to other countries. The American dollar is not being spent here. I believe this is a major problem for the American Economy. What do you think? Should the money be allowed to just be wired to other countries?

I don't think wiring money out of the country is hurting our economy as much as the flood of illegal immigrants themselves have hurt it. When people talk about the work situation they always say that these people are doing jobs that Americans don't want to do like picking fruit and cleaning offices but this is not entirely true. The construction trade, which is already suffering from the decline of new home construction, is being taken over by cheap, illegal labor. Landscaping and many service jobs are being lost too. I realize that these people have it hard but it bothers me when hard working citizens of this country are losing jobs to cheap labor.

Oh I totally agree with you on this. I believe that illegal is illegal no matter what. Maybe we should let the illegals take over a job in congress at a much much lower salary then I bet you would see a change.

Yes, let them wire money home. Call it tough love. Make this country stand up and work its own. Want a job? Move, come to CA, AZ or any less agricultural area in the U.S. You'll have more more job offers than you know what to do with. Pick watermelons, work the heat of day and know what it is to toil over minimum wage. And be happy about it. Don't spend it all--send it to an IRA, money CD or investment portfolio. My family is from contruction, proud of it and companies could not find enough people to work outside. We raised a generation of our own--FAT on TV, internet and no one wants to hold a shovel in their hand for 8 hours a day. That kind of person is hard to find especially with the laws we have enacted to protect this country. Want two jobs? Serve people all day, shovel at night. We aren't talking management positions. Come out west, put an orange in your hands in the winter, toss watermelons in the summer and serve buffets to wealthy clientle who will tip you more than you make on the time clock. Come out here, buy a one way ticket. Then bring your family to share in the wealth of jobs. Tell them their dream is out here in the west on minimum wage. Live together so you can put all that in a retirement CD or IRA account. When you retire you might have enough to pay for medications. Think about it. How many family, friends and relatives would grow rich from those types of jobs......would they rather stay in the city? Stay online? Keep their low pay but not minimum wage job? Then who will pick the tomatoes?
