Not dollars, but Indonesian Rupiahs, here in Jakarta Indonesia on Sunday morning, June 1st!! It's just been announced that some Indonesian promoter is going to toss IDR100,000,000 (almost $10,000) worth of money from a plane above Senayan (kind of like a public park where people hang out and go jogging in the morning on weekends). It's said that this is some kind of new marketing technique that he wants to prove. Now that's what I call free money. I don't know about the others, but as much as I love money I don't think I'll be planning on going there. Can you imagine how chaotic the situation is going to be?! People shoving, bashing, pushing for money. Okay, so maybe you'll get a couple hundred thousands but is it really worth the risk? I don't think so... I'm surprised the authorities are going to let this happen. Well, actually I'm not that surprised, it is Indonesia. I hope they at least think of having a lot of ambulances and polices standing by. So... any of you guys in Indonesia planning on going? I wish you the best of luck!!

yes i got the email about today.. but i wonder whether it's true or not.. if i am a cop.. i will ban this action.. because it will cause harm to people.. why don't he just give those money in a better way. such as BLT or just transfer them to random account?

I'm thinking it's because his intention is to do marketing and not charity. Really extreme marketing.

That sounds really cool, but it's going to demonstrate how far people will go for money. I'm thinking it will turn ugly fast.

What's cool about this is only the thought of free money. I am definitely sure that the real situation, if this does happen, will get ugly as soon as that first sheet of money becomes within their reach. I'm just hoping for the best.

yaaa Tung Desem Waringin, this man had a serious problem. If he had a lot of money i think he could give it to the poor with a more apropriate way. This is just his way to gain popularity. Shame..real shame

hmmm... i dont think that the police will allow him to do that as it will cause disorder and some may be too egar to have the money they may even kill... i dont think that the government will allow him and may even jail him... will it be better if you just give to the people who really needs it?
