If the post is long, do you read all of it?

Perhaps you already encountered a very long post. Do you read it all the way or do you skip some sentences? Some post here on my lot goes for about three paragraphs. Do you read all of it or you just find the essence of the post?

It depends on a few things actually...first off am I THAT interested in the topic at hand..secondly is it well written or just a LOONNNGGGG babble and thirdly what my mood is at that moment..In short, sometimes I read it through, sometimes I scan adn sometimes I just say to hell with it and go to a different thread LOL

A 3 paragraphs post might not be a long post if each paragraph only consists of 10 words..*laughing*..well to be honest,i read all the way to finish for only topics that i'm interested in..

In most of the cases I do, specially if I am plaining to comment on it. Sometimes if you read just one part of the post you can actually get it all wrong what the author of the post wanted to say. I know it happened to me several times when I first started writing here. And sometimes, now when I start a discussion, if it is little bit longer, I get comments which aren't even connected to what I wanted to say. You can't really find the essence of the post if you read just a few lines of if.

if the post is well-written and will keep my attention, i do read all of it. however, there are times that posts are too long but the point is already a given, i think i can trust my judgement and comprehension on the issue and move on to replying. In any case, the author of the discussion point can make some clarifications and I will be more than happy to explain. good day!

It the topic is interesting, I may read on. But I prefer short and concise postings, about 4 to 5 lines, not more than 10 lines. Happy posting.

No I don't as a matter of fact. My goal is to make a certain number of posts a day and if I read long posts it will cosume all my free time. I do try to speed read to make sure I know its content. Anyway, most of the time I just try to avoid them. I think that if you want to post a long one here, you better put it in your blog and just put a URL link here.

If the title is interesting, I would open and read it. On the first paragraph if it still interests me, I would continue, especially If I decided I would want to respond and participate in that discussion, I would read it to the end. So that when I respond, I'm sure that I'm not missing the subject of the discussion.

If a I see a discussion that interests me then no matter if it is long or short,I will read the entire discussion so that way I can get a idea of what to respond with.

Actually, I did encountered some. What I do, is look at the title and if I know something about it or can relate to it, I'll respond. I'll scroll down but sometimes read most of it..But if it's a little sensitive and needs a serious response, I'll read all of it..Sometimes, some parts of the post is kinda irrelevant to what the topic is really all about..

I always read the whole post however long it is for me. I enjoy doing it anyway and that is also giving justice to the person who did the post. And you know, no matter how long the post, I really don't get tired of reading because I always find something helpful or interesting about the topic.

If I am thinking about replying to it I read it all the way. Makes no sense to me otherwise.
