Why do my earnings fluctuate?

From time to time it is necessary for myLot to recalculate earnings for the month to curb users trying to game the system. Our proprietary earnings algorithm periodically recalculates all estimated daily earnings for the previous month to take into account posts that have been deleted in the abuse and moderation processes.

During the recalculation of earnings some users with lower-quality contributions will see a decrease. Any money deducted from users due to our abuse and moderation processes is then reallocated to myLot users based on certain qualitative factors. Due to this, earnings will fluctuate.

myLot members who have a decrease in earnings have had one or more posts deleted throughout the month. The main reason for this could be that you started a discussion that violated our guidelines or terms, that you responded to, or commented on, a discussion that violated our guidelines or terms, or that a comment you made on a blog article or news story violated our guidelines or terms.

Please become familiar with our myLot Guidelines and Terms of Use to avoid the possibility of having your posts deleted in the abuse and moderation processes.
*
myLot does not reward low-quality contributions, or even worse, attempts to game the earnings algorithm.
*
Remember, your earnings are all estimated until paid.

Yes, quality posts are certainly rewarded (and less good quality posts correspondingly earn less). It would be impossible to 'score' posts as they are made, so a token amount is shown. At the end of the month they run a check on all the posts and (with a secret but very accurate formula) posts are 'scored' for quality. The payments are adjusted accordingly. That is why you should only consider your earnings to be an approximation until the month's end.

confused confused[/em]Iam confused,another words,we earn money then it is taken away from us even thou it has already been approved?Then someone else comes thru and says no that you deserve no money because you are not an expert writter? Is that what your saying?

Hi saverio,
There do seem to be some strange happenings here at myLot every now and then.
I often see the total number of my posts drop by 2 or 3 compared to what they were the day before, and I don't know why that has happened.
It might be just bugs in the system, or it might be myLot adjusting things somewhere - eg, because a post has been deleted, all the responses and etc to that post will also disappear?
Anyway, yes even though it's just one cent, it can be frustrating if you've worked hard to get it.
But the only thing to do is to keep on plugging to get that cent, and many more just like it, added into your account.

It took away my 2 cents just now. I don't know how it happens. I'd rather believe that they took away my earning for some reason.

Oh thats bad.are you serious did they take away.But one of my friend faced this issue because of posting the mail id.But i ma not sure.why this happened for you i wonder?Thats very bad.If this continue let me know.we have to beware of it.
