I saw a story on television the other night about an Indonesian man name Dede, dubbed 'half man, half tree' because he has huge warts on his hands and feet that look like tree branches.
What other stores have mylotters seen on the news that are bizarre like this?
Have you experienced anything bizarre yourself? Have any of your friens?
If it's a news article and you can include a link to it please do... and don't worry, mylot do allow informational links. It's just affiliate links that are banned in discussions.

I have seen it at you tube also jewel and I feel for the family. We all know how hard it was for him to love normally since people especially kids can't avoid to look and get scared if he is around! I don't know anyone personally who is like that! I have seen in the news before but it was long time ago. I know there are couple of people who were not televised yet!

Yes, it must be horrific to deal with something like this.
To think that we get all self conscious over things like 'love handles'... seems truly petty in comparison doesn't it?

Yes, it's certainly sad when you see things like this. And even sadder when you think that for most of them there are remedies in modern medicine but that the person may never received it if they live in a place that doesn't have modern medicine.

I cannot imagine, it makes Me shutter to think about. I know I Am not even a child. Children have an excuse but know I can't not stare when I think I am not being observed doing so. To liken it to love handles makes me feel how bad I really Am for My human (behavior). It's a reminder to treat others as You would want to be treated. God Blesses. In this peticular case I have to wonder if Doctors have a cure.

The good news is that doctors believe he can be helped by an intensive course of vitamin A supplements. They believe the warts will shrink and they will also be able to operate to remove some and return the usability of his hands and feet.
And please, don't berate yourself for your humanness. It's only natural to be that way. The reason we tend to get obsessed with our love handles is because we really don't have anything more serious to worry about. As they say, you can always find someone who is worse off than you.
Just see it as a lesson to love all people no matter what they look like or how they act. They're still human just like you.
