A question to Muslims about homosexuality

My Muslim friends, you are safe here. I know that MyLot is not very accepting of your faith, but I personaly am interested in all religious veiws, including yours. So please speak freely. I have a question I would like you to answer. I know that in most Muslim countries, homosexual acts are forbidden, often punishable by death. However, one of my classmates recently returned from deployment in Iraq, and he told me that it is normal for adult men to lust after and have relations with young boys. This is not the first time I have heard something like this. Is it true that in Muslim countries boy-love is an acceptable part of society, yet homosexuality netween two adult men is punishable by death? I am not attacking your beliefs, I would just like a little clarification here.
