to let those who posted on my original discussion that were interested in knowing.. i went to the doc yesterday. got a full once over, poked, prodded (the man even checked my gums, he was very thorough) had my blood sucked out, giant qtip swabbings of areas i cant see without some acrobatics and a beveled mirror.. the works. initial findings? im healthy healthy healthy! the only thing even remotely concerning him was my cholesterol level which was slightly elevated, which i can work on easilly enough. bacon has been the meat of choice lately, and i think that did me in on the test LOL i asked him about the statistics.. the numbers.. my age etc etc.. and im lucky enough that he actually did a big portion of his residency in pre/postnatals.. in this time, he never saw even a single baby born with any form of anything wrong at all, and he said a little more than half of his patients were 35-40+ i can live with those odds
he has now reccomended i see an obgyn.. to get more info, consultation, etc from someone who specializes in the field itself.. but as far as hes concerned.. all systems are a GO! so i will make another appointment.. prolly get poked and prodded again.. and with any luck.. malliki and i will be pregnant before the summers over! weeee and booyah!!

Good..I'm glad ;)
I have been focusing on my studies, lugging kids to and from day camps, working more than usual, and trying to keep the house from being sucked up into the tornato that has apparently been rampanging it.

I found it, found the update discussion, yessss! I have been looking for it for ages! I am really pleased for you and knew it would all be fine. You did the right thing by getting checked out first because now you will relax and your mind is at ease.
I did not know that eating bacon was bad for cholesterol, I eat a bacon buttie about twice a week, is that bad for me do you think? I have been lucky actually cos usually bacon affects my tummy but for some reason it has not so I am making the most of it! I really like your hubbys name, I had it in mind for one of my boys you know, but was not taken seriously. I am glad that all is going good for you, and I really hope that I will be reading a positive (get it?) discussion real soon xxx

That's great! I've known a few women over 40 that have had babies and they were fine. One was even a serious diabetic. Women seem to be having babies later and later now. I didn't get married until just before I turned 40. I had a procedure done for cervical cancer cells a few years before though and was told I might not be able to carry a child full term and my husband was told by the army that it would be unlikely for him to father a child so we didn't have much choice in the matter.
