In average, how long is your post?

Hi. I have been mylotting for a while and I have found that every post varies in length. I'm just wondering how long is your post in average? Is it true that the longer your post is, the more you will earn? I usually post in 3 to 4 lines. I think it is the moderation. Neither too long nor too short is good. What do you think? Happy mylotting?

hey. For me, it depends on what the topic is. Sometimes, I post a long discussion, that includes my queries and a little explanation. If a topic warrants a longer post, I'd add some more ..specially if im in the mood to elaborate..But, sometimes, I have discussions that are 3 to 4 liners only, that I think I have said it all in just a few lines.. They said that, yes, the longer you post QUALITY discussions and responses, the more you will earn. I found it true coz recently I posted at least five discussions in one day, and my earnings went up.

Usually if I can't add at least a few lines to a discussion I won't bother to post a response in that discussion. I like to see discussions that start with a post of more than a brief question or two lines asking what people think. I think I can give a better response if I know the opinion or personal experience of the person who started the discussion. I enjoy taking part in discussions which require longer responses. I think it is important not just to say whether I agree or disagree, or to answer in one or two lines. I want to explain what I think and why, or to give an example from my own experience of life. Some days I just add shorter responses and on other days I write fewer but longer ones. Whenever I take the time and trouble to add long responses I do get better earnings.

It really depends. I try to give at least a few lines but if possible, if I have time to spare and content to give, I try to write longer. Crash (myLot employee) had said that posts with quality are paid more. I guess if you write longer, you stand a higher chance for that post to be considered a quality one. Beats me really.

As we all know longer your post is more money you'll get for it. When I started posting here I didn't really care how long my posts were because I didn't know that was one of the criteria by which we get paid. The money is not the main reason why I keep writin on MyLot, I really like it here but if I am already writing I feel like I will try to earn as much money as I can. I read it somewhere about 2-3months ago that we get more money for long but really long posts. So now I try to write at least 7 or 8 lines and if I feel that I can't write that much as a comment for a discussion I prefer not to respond to it at all. I really like those interesting discussion where you can say what you think about the topic and it is even better if I can give an examle from real life. I know that it took me 600 posts to reach payout the first time when I was writing much shorter posts and now I've written less then 200 posts and I need 1 more dollar to reach $10.

Well for me, I'm not sure. I've said so many times that I try to write as much as I possibly can but I will find myself writing less then is to be desired. It's hard to find discussions that you can really put thought into, and I also find myself eager to respond, to put my 2 cents in. All in all, long or short I respond.

When I started here my responses are just 1 to 2 liners but I've read in a similar discussion that it should be at least a paragraph length with 3 to 4 sentences and with sense. I try so hard to meet this minimum requirement and I found out that although it did improved my earnings the increase was minimal. I know somebody who responded to a single post but she did it in a very lengthy one with such quality and authority. I'm surprise with her earnings, its more than I could normally make in a day. Even with my paragraph length responses. Now I'm aiming to do just that. Response to topic that I could really relate to, with sense and according to myLot discussion guidelines. This is of course when I'm concentrating with earnings.

It really depends on the topic. But I try to make sure that my shortest response is 3 lines. There are topics where you can say so much and ask at the same time, that kind of discussion I can make a paragraph or a couple of sentences. Regarding the earnings, I am not sure if the longer posts we make makes us earn more. Cheers!

If I see many responses are long I will write more things to my response. Or the discussion is interesting so I will write more words.

Well it depends on if I can relate to the topic or if I can give feedback..If it is a simple topic, then I will post a shorter sentence..

It really depends on the post of how long I make it. If It's one that has alot to say than mine will most likely be a long one back. It's not every day I do this. I find that the more specific you are in when doing the post the better.

Wow. thanks so much for starting this discussion chineseairhead! You're definitely not an airhead. :) A lot of the older myLotters told me to post at least 4 lines per post so that's what I stick to most of the time. But no one really said anything about earning more when you have longer posts?! I guess the length of your posts also factors with how much you earn. It's reasonable for myLot to pay those who exert more effort. Maybe I'll try doing 6 liners now so I can earn more money.

I try to post 4 lines, but I am not always able to post that much. It depends on the topic, sometimes I have a lot to say and post 7 lines, other times, it's just quick response because only a short answer is needed. I think people should always try to post at much as they can, but it shouldn't be too long though, so that the reader doesn't lose his/her interest. (:

Hello, When I first joined I only posted 1 or 2 lines. Now at the very least I will do about 4- 6 lines. From time to time I am known to leave long post. I hear the longer the post the more money you will earn. This one girl I know tells me she made $7.00 with just posting and adding pics ( All in one week) There is a secret here I think, but no ones knows , and everyone just tells you to have fun . I mean this is what this site is for to have fun , and add in some money. This site is pretty cool if you dont mind me saying .

I normally post 3 - 4 lines too, depending on the topic i am replying to. I am not so sure though if the length of the replies would matter in terms of how much we are getting per post, there is just no clear cut rule on this. In any case, we are all enjoying what we are doing here in my Lot, so, whether short and sweet or long and stuffed, as long as we would like to air out what we think... without hurting other folks, just go ahead! good day! happy myLotting!
