Alabama REDNECK VIGILANTES dispense JUSTICE!

United States

Yes, it is true. Our heroes, a couple living in Alabama USA came home to find their home had been trashed and ransacked. And they caught the perpetrator! The fool was still there. So, what did our heroes do? Call the police right away? Nope. At gunpoint they made the crook clean up and put right their house which he had trashed. The crook even complained to the police about being made to work. Here is the complete story. http://www.thatsweird.net/news44.shtml I said fortunately, the police laughed at the crook. I say fortunately, because there are jurisdictions, even in the USA where the police might have taken the crook's complaint seriously. The couple could have been charged with inappropiate threat of lethal force and would have been so charged in some backward places. Personally, I say hurrah for this smart brave couple who made the crook fix what he did before calling the police. What do you say?

This idiot was very lucky, as most people would have just shot him and been done with it. It's too bad they didn't have Dueling Banjos playing in the background to help set the mood for this scene, along with constant references to "Deliverance". I'd say he got off very lucky.

The people who would have just shot him, would not have been thinking ahead. Why not have him clean the place up rather than just die? I do like the 'Deliverance' touch. That is kind of nostalgic and heart touching.

You're right.... have him clean the place up first... THEN shoot him....

BTW: Shooting someone is an unbelievable messy proposition. In major cities there are companies that specialize in cleaning up these kind of messes. It is a major undertaking removing congealed blood, splattered brains, and assorted shredded body parts from one's floors and walls. It is expensive.

I agree with you, hurray for the couple. Someone will definitely think twice before making them a target next time.

Full round of applause to these people! Will it make this particular criminal think twice next time? I reckon there is a good chance he will! I have read stories in the past about burglars suing people because they injured themselves while on their properties etc; and I find that unbelievably absurd! As far as I am concerned; a person's rights shouyld be immediately revoked in this sense the SECOND they breach someone else's! What these people did was not violent or demeaning; it was actually a very sensible and relevant reaction to right a related wrong. Good on them!

Yes, good on them. What I'm wondering is how long before the government tries to discourage this sort of thing?

That is funny. I personally think it was a great idea to make him clean up his own mess. I am not so sure I would have been smart enough to make him clean up the mess. I probably would have freaked out and he would have got away. I like the way the police handled his complaints about it too.

Yes, the police response was to be commended. Believe it or not there are areas where the police would have been critical of the homeowners or even arrested them for threatening the criminal with lethal force. Technically, you can't threaten with lethal force except to save your life or the life of another.

LOL! I agree! I clean up after the messes I make when my hubby and I go visit my parents and, we are welcome. So, if someone came into my house and made a mess of it and I caught them in the act, I might consider doing the same thing and forcing them to make right what they made wrong. And, I am glad that the police didn't punish the homeowners. I think we have a right to defend what is ours and to get justice for the wrongs against us and, the homeowners doled out a calm if not slightly frightening form of justice in addition to whatever the perpetrators will get for the break in lawfully handed down to them. Hurray for them!

When it comes to mine and my hubby's home it is not protected by ADD it is defended by Smith&Wesson. I like their style, making the perp clean up their house, two thumbs up. I do not understand what the perp was thinking about. He had no problem with breaking into their home, and thrashing, but did not think he should have to clean it up. The perp should be thankful the couple did not just shoot him. They had every right to do so.

You don't understand what the perp was thinking when he complained? LOL... That's the way these doofus' think. In the fantasyland where they live emotionally, if not in reality, they always are the 'wronged' party no matter what they do. It takes a long time to come to the conclusion these jokers are that messed up, but they really are. During my time as an independent trucker, I met a large number of these folks on the fringes of that business. You have to experience it yourself many times before believing it. But, yes, it is true. Criminals really do have a major malfunction in the logic department.
