Well, Amanda survived cooking supper for Mark and it went very well!! She was so relieved to get it finished that she nearly fell to the floor Ha! Ha! She said "Whew!!! I actually did it!!" Mark really enjoyed it and told her so. She said, "Mama, I know I shouldn't have been so nervous, I just wanted to make a good impression on him with my cooking." I said, "That is okay, I understand, but the next time maybe you won't be so nervous." She grinned and nodded her head. Thanks so much for listening and have a terrific day!!!

Glad that Amanda's meal she made for Mark went over good. Which I knew it would, but I can understand her nervousness of fixing him his first meal. So what is she planning for him the next time? Has he put in any request that he would like for her to fix him?

Hi terri, maybe she was nervous because that was her first meal she had ever cooked. I am glad it turned out good for her. Both of you had a good day!

Hi Terri!! No, he hasn't asked for anything in particular. She will probably find out some other things that he likes and then decide from that. He is a big fish eater but I think frying fish would be a little tough, I'm not even good at that LOL! I'll let you know the next time she is going to cook for him and what it is going to be. :-)

I knew it would come out well. What did she cook for him? You mentioned he liked fish. I have only cooked fish once since I've been married and my husband and I both thought it smelled so bad that we went out to eat, lol.

Hi Lucy!! She fixed very simple, chili and a hashbrown casserole. He is a big fish eater LOL. Just about every time they go out to eat that is what he gets, even if they go to a Mexican restaurant LOL. But that is something that would be tough for Amanda to try, I'm not even good at frying fish myself. I can bake it, but I don't think Mark likes it baked, LOL, only fried.

Thanks hon. I told her she needs to find out more types of food that he likes so she will be able to do it again and not be so nervous since she knows now that she can do it LOL!!!

Yahoo! That's great that everything turned out so well, and I bet it's a relief to your daughter that her cooking went well and I bet she has a feeling of accomplishment there.

That is good you daughter cooked her friend a good meal, practice makes perfect when it comes to cooking I know you know that. Sound likes your doesn't cook much. I taught my daghter how to cook, and she is a very good cook, she made me a Mothers Day dinner. It was so good.

No Marcia, she doesn't cook very often at all. She has watched me and she has watched my mother-in-law when she is over there and has tried some things but this was her first time to do it on her own, that was what made her so nervous, plus wanting to make a good impression on her boyfriend. I am going to start letting her do more around cooking by helping me so that she will get more accustomed to it. I have a feeling she and Mark will be getting married in a few years so, Lord knows, she will need to know then.

I'm pleased Amanda did a good job. Mark sounds like a good guy, easy to please and agreeable and willing to go along with things. I feel they will be happy.
