would you contact the autor to tell him he is doing something wrong? Would you? Would it be rude to do it? There's this person here who starts a lot of discussion about one thing and although some discussions are not very recent they don't have any comments. I am actually affraid that this person might think that my intentions are not hones and good although they are.

Well I agree with the first poster, but I must admit that I would not want to do it either. I would feel as if the person would be upset at me even though my intentions were good. I'd consider adding them as a friend and then messaging them to be courteous first, before I mentioned anything of them making repeat posts.

Personally, I would avoid this myLotter. Apparently this person is spamming the forums just to try and make as much money as possible, and could probably care less whether anyone is actually interested in the topic(s). Responding to such discussions is often a waste of time, as the discussions may eventually be deleted, and the user's account banned.

I think I know exactly what it is you are talking about. I just ignore them but im afraid of confrontation. I say if you want to do it go ahead. I mean youre not trying to be mean Ive seen plenty of people come and go from mylot because of this stuff.

No, I would not contact the author of the discussions who keep on repeating the same issue. I feel it is his/her sweet will to start a new discussions and if he/she wishes to same issue again and again, let it be. If I can reply to his/her discussion, I would go for that, else I would ignore that. I also feel that it is for mylot authorities to see whether he/she is voilating any guidlines while doing so.

If I saw three on the exactly same subject by the same person, I'd think there was a computer glitch. If they were all different approaches to one subject, I think that would be fine. If it bothers you, then say something, I guess. If you simply want to clue the person in on what they're doing, then go for it. You won't necessarily hurt their feelings if you type the message the correct way. Just don't go attacking the person.

I think that if you come across this person and the posts I am talking about you will know who I am taliking about. I would like to help this person to understand how myLot functions. I don't wanna attack anyone I am not like that. Thanks for your advice.

Personally, I don't think it is wrong to tell that person. They may get offended but it isn't your fault that they started all of those discussions. If someone doesn't say somthing to them, they will never know.

Thanks for your kind words I don't know if it would be right to tell it to that person because people don't like critics. I guess the person will get it soon that this kind of discussions aren't working here because nobody is actually commenting on them.

oh yes... it is not right to do that... it is called cheating... i will definitely report the person to the admin to get his discussions deleted... it is not your fault if you do that... you are doing the right thing... take care and have a nice day...

If you find someone starting discussions on same topic again and again, then just give them negative ratings which will hurt ratings, which hurt income as those people make such discussions just for earning money and nothing else

Maybe you could request them to be your friend then if they accept, you could send them a friendly welcome email offering them your best tips and help if they want it. That's what I might do anyway.

Honestly, n o I probably wouldn't bother telling them. I would assume that they are just posting without checking on their discussions so responding probably won't do any good. I can only PM them if they are on my friends list and that is just not going to happen. Even though we are all supposed to be friendly and support each other, especially newcomers, when people are obviously clueless I'd rather just report them and let administration handle it. It's not my job and they probably wouldn't listen to me anyway.

To be really honest I would try to give them a simple explanation that it is not just the number of times you post but also the content of what you post that makes you successful. That is why one can't copy and paste until your rating is 500 and above.

If the topics are asking different opinions in a deeper way(even if it has the same sdubject) I guess it's okay. But if he kept on asking 'what's your type of music' or 'what's your favorite band' then 'do you listen to music' I guess that's pretty empty discussion. I, too, will get annoyed to find a whole page asking the same thought from the same author.. Probably, i'll inform him/her..
