Hello everyone! I am getting married on July 4. Which is coming up pretty soon. I would like for you to give me some advice. Well I think I decided since my family doesn't seem supportive. I will get married by myself somewhere. What do you think about this idea? Get married have a honeymoon then have a reception with everybody? Well I live in Texas and my fiance is illegal here. I would like to have a nice honeymoon and or destination to get married. Just the two of us. Is there any beautiful destinations in Texas? As far as he is illegal here. Can we go anywhere in the United States to get married. Or can he not pass certain parts without everyone asking for papers or proof of citizenship? Please give me the most tips and advice, ideas as you possibly can. Thank you all and God Bless!!!

Hi danzabelleza, I'm sorry to learn that your family is not happy about your marriage. I had this experiece too. At first, my parents were not happy about my boyfriend (now my husband). They said unpleasant things to him and treated him unfriendly. But I insisted that I love him and told them why I love him. And at the same time, I suggested him doing something to change my parents' attitude, like saying hello to them on holidays, being good to me especially when my parents were by our side, asking his parents to visit my parents, etc. Gradually, my parents accepted him and we got married just a month ago. I don't think a marriage without parents' presence would give you the full happyness. So, why not try to make your parents accept your boyfriend?
