It seems like a lot of people are losing their jobs due to lay offs... I just lost mine due to the Clinic I was working in as a therapist closing down for good here in Southern California. There are others in Northern California and Michigan but as I cannot relocate, there was no way to go there...
Now I am wondering what to do...
I applied for unemployment and am looking forward to the job hunt for a full time position with beneifits, and until then to getting temp work and also doing work as an independent contractor and to doing anything else that will bring in the money...
If you have lost a job what are you doing to make ends meet and to survive?
Have you found it easy to get work or are you still struggling?
Do you have any suggestions for people who are looking for work now?

Well, there were recent layoffs at the workplace I have been working at for seven and a half years now. I work for Glens Falls Hospital. The hospital layed off 15 people. They eliminated 65 positions. It was all due to its horrible financial budget they have had for several months now. I do not know if the hospital ever gonna have anymore layoffs. Hopefully it will not affect me at all, though. If anyone want to check out Glens Falls Hospital, just simply go to www.glensfallshospital.org. Let me know what you think. OK? I got laid off couple times before. I got laid off from a county building and a Travelers Insurance building.

I am hoping that your job is and will continue to be secure and that the hospital's fiscal problems will soon remit. Thanks for posting.
