Tip for short hikers

Always take along a tall friend..lol. We went hiking today on the Odum Scout trail here in Alabama. This trail was the hardest we've done so far. At the beginning of the trail you have to climb up rocks and three flights of stairs! More than once I had to have a helping hand getting from one rock to the other because the step up was too high for me! I'm only 5 ft tall so this happens quite often for me. My husband and son make everything look so easy, but I have to really watch my step. My husband says it really does put me at a disadvantage. I just know it's a pain on some trails!
