My TV did. No matter if i am watchin the tv or not i used to keep it switched on, wonder why? Well i was the only child and when mon and dad went for work i used to feel very lonely,so i use to switch on the tv and leave it. Atleast i could hear somebody talking all the time!! No jokes, seriously,i would not even look at the tv but i like it on at all times. It gave me a feeling that there was somebody else in that house to with me. i know this sounds wierd, but i guess there would be other 'one and only, presious children' who would have felt the same. After coming back from play, the first thing to was put the tv on,no matter what i am doing ....studing ,eating, doing craft work and sleeping !!! Well that came along with a large electricity bill though (",). Do you have this kind Or some other kind of habit which is weird ?

I need to have music all the time. I don't like a totally silent house most of the time and I love music. So do my dogs! They prefer jazz and usually leave the room if I play metal. While I'm on the computer writing or myLotting, I have talk radio on sometimes and sometimes I have old 20's music on. I don't like the tv much, it's only on about an hour a day for the local and national news. But on Mondays and Thursdays I watch House and Grey's Anatomy. I'll tape old movies sometimes and watch them on rainy or snowy days.

I used to see a lot of tv when i was in high school, now i have a child to look after too so i dont get mych time watching tv, also that i have got bored watching tv. Music is a nice aternative though, i do listen to music at times but my son wakes up very easily so i do not play when he is awake.

My first son would awaken if you dropped a pin at the other end of the house! When his brother was born, 364 days later, it was hell for everyone. I didn't sleep more than 2 hours at a time for 4 years! Now he sleeps like a rock, LOL! But don't be discouraged, they say that children that are that sensitive are usually smarter than normal. Make sure he crawls as much as possible, as crawling increases the reading skills.

thank you for the information, i really didnt know that crawling helps in reading skills. i usually keep him in his play den when he is awake for the fear of him catching a diareah (i do not know how to spell it:). i would let him crawl on the floor starting today most probably.

T.V. have been my companion if got nothing to do and no one to talk too. It's just like my sleeping pills too. I love watching T.V. It's just my favorite pastime.

Yes, tv and the stereo are the only companions when one is all alone and has no one to talk to. It was my pastime too when i was in high school!

I think TV can be considered a companion especially when you're alone..I may not be as fanatic as you are but TV gives me the sense of comfort and peace. TV as well is a jack of all trades...it can be educational, and can move me to so much emotion (laughters and tears).I know the feeling that you feel someone is with you when a tv is turned on...Silence in the house is so creepy at times. I don't think it is weird.

Not a bit of company from my TV at all, because I don't have my TV hooked up. I like to spend my day at the coffee shop up the street, using the internet. I also save a lot of money by not having my television hooked up.
