Something is wrong with my dog!!

My dog loves everyone! The mailman, strangers, the kids, even my kittens. Yesterday we got new people that moved in two doors down. My dog does not bark at anything except other dogs and when you have his ball. Well this dog will not stop growling and barking at the new people. He doesn't sound friendly while he is doing this. I want to tell him to stop but part of me feels that maybe they aren't very good people and that is why he is barking. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what do with him? I don't want him barking all the time and we have had neighbors come and go but this is becoming ridiculous. Help me please!

My dogs bark at everything. But they're friendly. Since we have had dogs all of our lives we can usually tell by the tone of the dog's bark if they're serious. I think that some dogs just like to hear themselves speak. Before you jump to conclusions, don't forget that it's just a dog. And they bark and that's the end of that. You can train him to stay quiet more often.
