Being altruistic is a great thing and knowing other people and getting involved in social activities makes you aware of others and make you less of an egoist. When we are young we tend to think only of ourselves and when we get older we learn people skills which is a good thing and makes us better persons.

You are absolutely right. That is why people say one should get maturity of mind and body at right time. The innocence of childhood days are good to some extent, but the maturity of youth is great. Probably you agree with me that one has to keep learning about human relationships through out his life, because nothing is complete. Thanks for wonderful contribution to this topic.
