Should countries continue to have strict entry requirements in order to protect th integrity of their borders or should they be relaxed considering that nowadays, the world is fast becoming a global village.

I don't mean to sound mean, but I think they should have protected borders. And those that do come in and work should be taxed the same as me.
I'm speaking about the US now. I worked with some people and they weren't taxed because of some imigrant law or something.
All I knew was we both made $600.00, I brought home $450.00 and they got to keep the whole whopping $600.00.
I know this isn't quite what your talking about, but it's what I can relate too.

I see where you are coming from and i fully agree with you that those who are allowed to enter and work within a country;'s borders should not have more favorable treatment than the country;'s citizens. There should still be a distinction since they atre just enjoying a privilegem while the citizens are enjoying rights. And yes, I was just referring to entry into a country to be relaxed and not other laws or distinctions between aliens and citizens.
