What is the most effective to make traffic for your site?

Im new at blogging and have very limited resources... Do you guys know of a true and tested way to make traffic for my site? Thank you ... I appreciate any information you could share.

The best way to get more traffic is to advert for it everywhere. On your YouTube account, on blogs, in articles, at facebook, at discussion sites and other places.

Ive been doing that and it does not seem to generate mucah traffic...:(

There are lots of sites that offers traffics some of them are scams. So i prefer to rely on myself. linking to other sites is very effective make a trade to link there sites and they will do a vice versa. least thing you can do but quite effective. have a nice day.
