Do you have a DVR?

I really do like it. I love being able to fast forward through commercials. I also like that I can record shows that are on after my bedtime :)

i don't need one becaues i only watch a few hours everyday. most of the time i play games online....etc.

Yes, I have one and I like it because even if I forget that my favorite show is on the DVR remembers for me. I also like it because it allows me to have a life apart from the TV. Remember when we all had to schedule our lives around our favorite programs? When I was a kid it was the Cosby Show. You could never do anything on Thursday night because of Cosby. Now I have the DVR and this doesn't happen. I can go out and have a life, do work, or activism or whatever matters to me and still have my favorite shows waiting for me when I come back. This is especially helpful during the Beijing Olympics because many of the sessions I want to see are on at 5 in the morning or other ridiculous hours. I just tell the DVR to record it and watch it when I wake up. This conveniently enhanced my enjoyment of the Olympics.

i have an ancient device that i paid a one time price for.....it's called a V-C-R. it gives me the ability to record all my favorite television events and then watch them at my convenient time. i paid $10.00 for the VCR and i get blank tapes at Walgreens for .99 cents....how much is your DVR?

i wish to have one also, but i still manage my money so after i bought it i may still have money to use :) any brand & type u can recommend for me? :) thanks

I don't have a DVR but I would really like to get one. I'm thinking about getting Tivo soon. Then I can record my favorite shows and watch them when I can't sleep at night.
