is it weird to be holding an online relationship?

do you find it weird with all these people holding relationships with stranger they meet in a chat room. is it not odd that they talk about their personal stuff to stranger? what if the p[erson they are talking to is one gender when they tell them they are the other?

I think it is OK for a relationship to begin online. You have to be extremely cautious of people you meet anywhere. But for a real relationship to grow, it needs to move from online to, phone calls, and eventually to meeting, at least sometimes. It depends on the depth you wish this relationship to have, I suppose. You can get to know quite a lot about a person by reading what he or she has to say. And once you are in a relationship, the Internet is a great way to bridge the distance gap, if you are far apart.

i find that to be true...it all depends on what the person's intentions are...if that person is willing to go beyond just friends they can make it possible......i know of a friend who met his wife online,......they are happily married and are glad to have met
