I haven't been very active in mylot lately but I wanted to ask if anyone knows why my star rating doesn't change even though I am receiving best responses for my replies. For example my rating has been an 8 with a 80/100 in it for the last 4 weeks and I haven't posted anything much for those last 4 weeks but I have about 10 best responses for the ones I have posted. So why is my rating not going up? I thought with best responses my rating should be highter, am I wrong about this?

I have also wondered the same. At once I thought that best responses would increase our star rating, but now it seems to me that when someone rates us "-" the star would go down easily, so probably the star rating would be up with "+", not by best responses only?

Yeah, it doesn't take much for our star rating to go down, and it takes forever for it to go up. But I think the best response should be a factor in the rating but according to others who responded, it doesn't.

hi chris!
it is not only the best responses that contributes to your rating. to increase your rating, you also have to be active here. you said you haven't posted much for those last four weeks, it means you have less activity in the last four weeks. less activity to be rated. and then, your responses and discussion should have to be rated positively so that your ratings would go up. you need to receive a lot of pluses to increase your ratings.

I have been active for the last month, very active. As you can see this discussion is a month old, and I am now posting in mylot every day. I am posting about 50 responses a day for the last 4 weeks and my rating still hasn't changed at all. It still is at 81/100. But it doesn't really matter as it has nothing to do with our earnings. I will just keep doing what I am doing and hope for the best. Thanks for letting me know all of this.

If your inactive, your rating goes down.. You might have been rated negative, and that also makes your reputation go down..
And I don't think the best responses is the most important thing..
The most important part is the rating.
I hope this helped you!

Thanks, I didn't know if I was inactive my rating would go down. So it doesn't matter that I get best responses? Well then why do we have that option to give out best responses?
