Do you have any discussions with no responses?

I've got six discussions with zero responses, some as old as six months. What is the likelihood that anyone would respond after that long? Anyway, I'm wondering how common it is to have so many discussions in which no one seems to be interested. Am I the queen of uninteresting discussions?

If my memory serves me right, I've been making it as my personal daily spot for almost three weeks now. After checking out "discussions my friends started" for quite a long time, I considered visiting "discussions with no responses". And I would say that I liked going there. Somehow, I feel that I'm being able to help other myLotters who are somewhat problematic about their discussions with zero responses at all. Not that I don't have these types of discussions myself, because honestly, I have more than three discussions which I've made a long time ago with no responses at all. Seven discussions to be exact and some of them I've started a year ago. Another advantage that I see in these types of discussions is that one isn't tempted to read first the responses to the discussions before giving his or her own reply. But there are discussions in this particular section which I myself can't relate and am quite disappointed with myself that I couldn't share anything.

Same here. Another benefit of responding to those discussions with no responses is that you have a better chance of being given a "best response" if, indeed, your response is on topic and has some depth.

I have plenty of discussions no one has ever responded too, but I have had people respond to discussions that I have that are a year old so don't give up hope!

I'm afraid that I myself, still have two pages of unresolved discussions because they haven't received any response. Most of them are I know, we're just a mistake to be posted because I was still not used to the system back then. Those posts or discussions I made and weren't responded to was dated year(s) back, it's alright if they won't get responded to because it doesn't bother me at all. I think the thing that troubles me is, you post a lot of discussions and generated lots of responses but still can't find time to manage or resolve those posts.

If you want, you can add me to your friends list, PM me the links to your discussions with no responses, and I'll try to give some response. Something you might consider is resolving one unresolved discussion each time you go to myLot. That way it won't take up lots of time and you can catch up! BTW your profile page is awesome.

I've never done that. Do I just go to the discussion, copy the web address, and paste it to a response?

Thanks! I PM'd some of my friends the links and they responded to some of them. Typical of me not to think of asking someone to do something for me. If there are still ones with no reply, I'll post them in a discussion! Thanks again.

Yeppers, copy and paste them to a discussion and ask for responses so you can clear them. Me, I haven't done my best responses in MONTHS.

No,the discussions I start all have many responses. There are many discussions with no reply, and I think the reason is that they just started for the money and without any meaninn of our life,so we do not take part in it. Although mylot paid for our discussions,we must give the meaningful things which many people interested. For me ,the most difficuty thing is sometimes I do not know how to say because of my poor english.

Don't let the language challenge stop you. Just keep trying and be open to people correcting or questioning what you say. You'll just get better and better.

Nope. The only way to get them resolved is to give a best response, which is impossible if no one responds. So, I guess we either hope that someone stumbles across one of the discussions or you have someone on your friends list who is willing to check out your unresolved discussions when you email the links to them. I'll put you on my friend request list and then you can send me your links and I'll send you mine! That will help us both out.

I very obviously have some really good friends here on myLot as I have never had a discussion with zero responses. I know it is not because I post particularly good discussions it is because I have loyal friends.

Youdontsay, of course you are not the Queen of uninteresting anything. I have several that have no responses my biggest problem was figuring out what time of day was best to post my discussion. I was often doing it in the middle of the night, and I realized that most of my friends were not even on, and given that we don't always get our notifications many of my posts were going unseen by those that would care to respond to me. One other thing that has helped me, is building good relationships here in mylot, not just making and starting a discussion but then having real conversations with those friends that take the time to answer me. Thats about the only thing I have found that works for me, and the best advice I can offer you. I find your posts interesting and entertaining.

Thanks. I imagine some of it is timing. I have periods when I'm up in the middle of the night when all sensible people are in bed. And sometimes myLot is slow in the late morning/early afternoon. I just post when I am available and hope for the best. It is kind of like fishing, I guess. You not only need the right bait but you need to know where the fish are.

I had a few posts over my time here that no one responded to at first. I had one that took a few months before anyone responded to it. I still didn't get an answer that I was looking for but at least someone took the time to respond.

I have had those kinds of responses too. It really is hard for me to even consider giving a "best response" when the response is completely off subject or inappropriate in some way. I would rather leave it unresolved.

Hello youdontsay, Fortunately that I don't have any discussions with no responses. Anyway, I don't have many discussions and also thank to my friends here who are willing to help me by responding to my discussions. I don't ask for help but glad to get even just a response. Sometimes I do feel surprise when out of sudden, while checking my e-mail notifications I found out that someone has responded to my old discussions. Again, thank to whoever that responded to my discussions. I think it is better to have less discussions or even zero responses instead of starting too many discussions and get too many responses but doesn't even care to leave a comment.

Hello youdontsay. This is a great question for a myLot discussion! I have 3 discussions with 0 responses and I've only started a total of 7 discussions! That's embarrassing! No, you are definitely not the queen of uninteresting discussions. I would have to fight you for that crown. Well, I'm gonna go check out your discussions with 0 responses and see what they are about. Take care. PearlGrace

I have several with no responses. I wish i could go back and add extra tags. BUT i do know that I've responded to discussions with 0 responses that were started 4 months ago so there is a chance it will get a response. I've also had a couple of my original ones responded to this past week and that was 2 months ago i started them.
