I don't know if you have ever heard anyone say this, or if you think it yourself, but something I always wondered about...
People who say the morning after pill is "wrong"/people who are against the use of the morning after pill because it is "essentially an abortion.
"How does that even make sense when the pill doesn't work if you are pregnant? How are these people defining "abortion," I guess is the question.

I really don't know how people define abortion if they presume that the morning after pill is the same thing - I think it may be becuase they see it as not giving the chance of life that should be possibly taking place by letting that egg get fertilised and that people shouldn't stop it, as for example the christian faith don't believe in the use of contraception!
I agree though that it isn't abortion if the there is no conception which is what the morning after pill stops from happening. x

Just so you know, it's mostly Catholics who don't believe in contraception officially - lots of them still use it, though. Many of the rest of us Christians do use it! If my husband and I didn't, I would ALWAYS be pregnant. I've never really formed an opinion on the MAPill, but the idea is that is it will prevent ovulation (which is fine by any anti-abortion standard) but it also prevents implantation of an already fertilized egg, which is the stickler as pro-life believes life begins at sperm meets egg, not fertilized egg meets nuterus wall.

It's one of those things that people will always argue about I think! There will always be people who will complain about it and those who don't even see it as anything to do with abortion of which I am that variety! x

I think its just people who think they know what they are talking about yet have not learned the truth about things. The morning after pill prevents pregnancy it does not cause an abortion. If you are already pregnant the morning after pill wont effect you in any way. The morning after pill is not the abortion pill people need to realize they are two different things.
