Anybody seen ACROSS THE UNIVERSE? It is my favorite mainstream movie in a long time. I had the soundtrack album before I saw the movie, and with a couple exceptions, I wasn't really in love with the renditions. But the movie just made them come alive! "I Want You," with it's draft inductees (in boxer shorts) carrying the Statue of Liberty through a miniature of Vietnam, completely blew me away. Also, "Happiness Is a Warm Gun" was both chilling and hilarious at the same time. Loved Salma Hayek (X5) in a nurse's uniform! Favorite moments? "Mr. Kite"? Bono as Ken Kesey? "Come Together"?

I saw this movie. I thought it was pretty good. I liked all the color that was in it. My brother-in-law loves this movie. He also has the sound track. My husband really enjoyed the movie as well. It was cool how they brought the music alive. I liked Eddie Izzard (i think thats how you spell it).

Yeah, the Eddie Izzard ("Mr. Kite) sequence is hilarious. The Blu-Ray special features mentioned that he improvised the track in the studio before lip-synching to playback during shooting.

Mr Wilshire, I haven't seen the movie so it's no to your first question and I can't answer any of your follow up questions. Beamer23
