The exorcist - The exorcist
It was the scary movie I have ever seen. I still have sometimes nightmares of her face. God! That never happened to me, and I hope it will never do. I think we all must be protected by this kind of stuff.

~*~ - Webcam shot of a portion of my mousepad~
I have a close friend who is very psychic, and has some really good stories for your topic (I will IM your Discussion to her) ..I, personally, have not had any 'abnormal' experiences, but I so agree with you about that movie! In the original "The Exorcist", film from the 1970s -?, The young girl -Regan, finds an Ouija Board in their home and begins to play with it..She comes to know "Captain Howdy" this way, the Demon who later possesses her~ I have heard that this movie, based on a book, was taken from a 'true story' -with a few changes (It was a boy, not a girl, etc..) Yet, when I researched the topic, I found out that the actual possession the story was based on was only 'speculation', and that the rest was entirely made-up...I would love to know if you or anyone else knows this is the actual case, or not~? ~Same with "Emily Rose"~?

actually this story is based the story on a supposedly real event that took place in the Washington, D.C. area back in 1949.The most interesting aspect of this work is that Blatty tells of a letter he composed to the priest who conducted the actual 1949 exorcism. Blatty prints a censored version of the exorcist’s response, revealing for the first time the existence of a diary kept by an attending priest that recorded the daily events of the ongoing exorcism. Blatty writes that he requested to see the diary but the exorcist declined. Blatty decided to ease the exorcist’s anxiety and change the lead character from a 14-year-old boy to that of a 12-year-old girl. In this book Blatty goes on to mention that five copies of the diary were known to exist at that time: two were in the possession of people who watched over the boy; copies were in the archives of two separate archdioceses; and one was in the files of an unnamed public city hospital where the boy had stayed. (It has since been determined that there are several other copies floating around out there among private collectors.) Blatty maintains that he did indeed eventually read the diary and based much of his book and movie on that material, though he does not reveal how he came upon his copy. so yeah it is based on a true incident!also pls chk out the links i have posted below, hope it helps you on your search! http://www.prairieghosts.com/exorcist.html http://www.catholiceducation.org/articles/religion/re0137.html http://www.houseofhorrors.com/exorcist.htm

This was a really old movie and it is a classic for all times. I was never witness to possesion and I hope I will never be. A friend of mine had to go to a church where the priests provoke demons to leave people's bodies (they are exorcists) and she saw things she couldn't ever describe.

I would really dread such a thing happening to me ever. Actually its a pity once a daemon takes control over you. You become totally helpless and don't know anything that is going on. My mom has seen once a priest casting a daemon from a lady. however that daemon was not as bad as the one in the movie and went off pretty soon. my mom was like damn scared when she saw that. but she saw it from a distance.
