Trash Cans at Beaches, parks, wildlands... covered with advertising?

When you go to a beach, a park or another natural spot would it bother you to see trash bins that are covered with large advertisements. In San Clemente, California, large trash cans are covered with large advertisements. The City is happy because that way it gets the trash cans for free yet some people have protested as they think that the cans are unsightly additions to the beach and "abominations."
Which way would you swing on this issue...
for the City's Adopt a Beach program in which the advertiser pays for the cans
or
for having plain trash cans without advertising which come from the City funds?

Well, at public places, I would recommend special containers for recycling. That would cut down on trash everywhere. Do you know what I certainly mean? Especially at beaches, parks, and everywhere where people recycle stuff that separate recyclables from nonrecylables which are regular garbage. Right? I think every single community should propose this. What do you think?
