What is the difference?

i learned from our advance training on mountaineering that mountaineers and climbers are different. i know many of us here think that they are the same. well, the difference is, mountaineers love nature and climbers destroy the nature. i really agree. mountaineers concern is to protect mother nature, they want to preserve it for the next generation but climbers are quite difference, their concern is personal interest, they never attempt to preserve the nature, they don't have knowledge about the nature, they even don't think if they reached the peak what is the beneficial of their purpose why they been their. even their trash never brought it back when they returned home. mountaineers always think that no trash left because they have a principle of LEAVE NO TRACE. how could you apply this if you are not a responsible mountaineers?

That is very presumptuous or judgmental of you as far as the climbers are concerned and I don't really agree with you. I am sure that a lot of climbers became better persons and have some realizations in doing what they love to do which is climbing. Please don't make them sound bad or so negative because they are not actually. I have acquaintances who are mountaineers and climbers and I have never seen them as destroyers. I think we have to look beyond our preconceived ideas or prejudices. If what you are saying is indeed true then people like you should go out of your way to educate them since you are supposed to know better.
Honor others with non-judgment.

Ah, that makes it clearer; you are choosing to define respectful climbers as mountaineers and disrespectful ones as climbers
