Do you watch movies over and over or only one time?

Do you like to watch movies more than once? If you answer "no", then do you ever purchase movies? I've noticed that I rarely purchase DVD's anymore because usually I only want to see them one time. That seems like a waste, so I just rent them instead. When I was a kid, I could watch the same movie over and over. Now there are so many things out there that I'd like to see, that I want to watch something new if I'm going to sit in front of the TV.

there are some movies that i watch over and over again. so i buy them on the dvd. i watch most of the movies in teh cinema but the ones that i miss, i usually rent them and if i really like them, i buy the dvds. =D one of my most favourite is the simpsons movie! it's so hilarious and fun to watch everytime. other than this, i have all the three movies of the lord of the rings.

That reminds me that I wanted to purchase the Lord of the Rings movies. Those are ones that I may actually watch more than one time. They were really good!

I don't mind watching movies several times (although there are a few I've seen where watching them once was too many) but I rarely purchase DVDs. I tend to either watch them at the cinema, or on television.

Fortunately, I've an unlimited pass for the cinema, so I can watch as many films as I want per month.

usually we watch movies over and over. we either rent them from the library or if they are good we buy them. it dont seem like it is worth it to buy them if you only watch them once.

I don't really like watching the same movies over and over. It has to be a movie that really touched me in some way for me to want to watch it more than once or twice. I buy those movies and then I might watch it once every few years. My kids and husband can watch movies over and over. They tend to buy movies more than me.

I have a lot of kid movies and those will be watched many times (by kids). I also have a few that I was watching every few years, but now I need to convert those to DVD. They are all on VHS and we don't even have a player hooked up anymore.

if i see a movie once and really like it i will watch it again if it comes on tv or i may rent it. but watching something over and over is not my thing and never was not even as a child. if i see a movie and i liked it but just did not get certain parts i will definitely see it again. one movie that comes to mind that had a totally different perspective for me the second time around was SIXTH SENSE with bruce willis. the first time i saw it i did not realize what was going on (won't spoil it for anyone who has not seen it) but once i realized and watched it again it seemed like a whole new movie to me.

I think I'm one of the few people left who hasn't seen that movie. I'll keep it in mind as one that I may want to watch a 2nd time if we rent it.

I generally watch a movie once by myself and then I watch it with my friends and my family. My favorite movies are Ordinary People and The Graduate.

If I do see a movie twice, that's usually the circumstance. If I want friends or family to see it and we pick it for a movie night, I sit through it with them.

I like watching some movies over and over again if I really like them. I like 2 movies and can watch them over and over again. The Holiday and The day after tomorrow. We buy more kids movies then anything else since we have 2 little girls they like watching all of the disney movies and can watch them a couple of times during the week. The newest one that gets played alot is Meet the robinsons next month I'm sure it will be a different one that she loves to watch. Shes 2 and she knows what movie is which.

There are some movies that i can watch more than once and it doesn't bother me at all. Some times you could miss parts of the movie and you don't get to notices the parts missed until you watch it again.

Compared with soap operas, I like movies better for the films are usually short than TV series. I like to rent than to buy. Though I like watching movies, I can hardly keep them in mind, such as the name of the protagonist, the plot, even the ending of the story. Haha, is it funny? Sometimes I think that I have a bad memory especially on the aspect of watching movies. Maybe I want to leave the room for remembering other important things. :) I never watch the same one more than once.

I tend to watch a movie only once same with books, I know what happens so why bother watching it again? Unless someone points something out that I missed, but that rarely happens. I tend to just borrow DVD's off friends and then give them back once I have watched them. I do sometimes watch a film more than once if there is nothing better on TV and a film that I thought was good is on then I will watch it to pass the time, while I mylot or something.

Good day, it depends on the quality of the movie. If the movie is good I don't mind watching over and over again and will even recommend it to some of my friends. But when the movie is rubbish I won't even try finishing it.

I don't what it is but I rarely will watch anything more than one time even the really good ones. I think it's because I already know what's going to happen in all the movies so it's like a waste of time to watch it again. All the movies I have come to own over the years I never watch some are classics. My sister can watch a movie over and over again and she still loves it. So I just stick to TV and new releases about things I haven't seen yet.

I can watch movies over and over again but i really have to love the film! If its an okay film i don't tend to watch it over and over again. I buy alot of dvds as i don't go the cinema often and would rather own them than rent them as you can get really cheap dvds now a days. I tend to wait til the films been out sometime and can get it for a couple of pounds. I find that after a year or so i tend to watch the films i wasn't too keen on again. Sometimes i end up loving them the second time round! Plus i love to have days where i watch one collection of films e.g. all three of lord of the rings or matrix! I really love those film days!

I only get to watch movies on certain occasions. But when I watch movies and then eventually like them, I make a reminder to myself to purchase a DVD copy for future viewing. In fact, some of these movies include Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Titanic, and a lot more. I really don't mind watching a movie over and over again if I really liked it. But sometimes, eventhough I don't like watching a movie, I'm quite obliged to because my husband handles the remote control of the television most of the time in the house. I have to admit that we rarely buy or rent a DVD because I find them so expensive and we don't have excess funds at the moment. Also, there are so many replays of movies in the various cable stations today; movies which were shown in theaters just a year ago.

LOL about the husband handling the remote. I think that's the case in a lot of households.

spectrum_I can't watch television anymore because it's boring and there's too many commercials. I don't even have a tv right now. I buy seasons of shows I liked that got cancelled and I watch them over and over again. Farscape is my all time favourite and I think I've watched every episode from all four seasons, and the movie "The Peacekeeper Wars" at least seven times. I own several movies on DVDs I watch those over and over. I have enough of a collection and keep adding new ones so I always have something I like to watch, when I want to watch it.

I have felt the same way about TV. Having a DVR can help since you can skip the commercials. I agree that there are way too many of them. If you skip them, an hour long show, usually takes about 40-45 minutes to watch.

As a general rule, no I don't. I don't think I've ever bought a DVD, and I never spent money on records, cassette tapes or video tapes either, even as a kid. I guess I just always thought it was a waste. You can listen to the radio or watch TV and get the same thing free, so why? I did join NetFlix a year or so ago and that was an awesome deal for watching movies, but I've even put that on hold for now because I just don't watch that many (too much time on myLot?) My husband has an extensive collection from before we married, and I honestly don't get it. All that money sitting there in the cabinet - for what?

Although I don't buy many movies, I did buy a lot of music when I was a kid. In fact, I bought lots of CD's right up until I could subscribe to on-demand music services. I guess that's partially because the music I like isn't played on the radio very much. I also have a husband that has an extensive collection of movies and music.

Hey spectrum. I am just like you. I seldom watch the movies again. Even though they are extremely good, I will keep that movie in my computer or buy the DVD. However, I seldom watch them again. There are so many new things out there. I just don't have enough time to watch them all. Thus when I have time, I always prefer something new.

I guess that's part of the problem I have too. Not enough time and I'd rather see something new than re-watch something I've seen before.

It really depends on the movie doesn't it? For example I would rather spend the money that a movie ticket costs on a dvd simply because that way I get to "keep" it. There are a few movies that always remain favorites no matter how many times you see them. For example I really like The Blues Brothers. I have it on video. I have it on DVD. If I had blu-ray I'd get it on blu-ray. It's a movie I can watch at least once a year. But I don't want/need to see it every day of the week. So many films that come out usually don't even make it to the cinema here. They come straight out on dvd. After that it's only a matter of time before it's on tv. So unless it is a really extraordinary movie I don't even get the dvd, nor do I rent it. I just wait till it comes on the boob tube.

I like animated movies as well. I think I saw Finding Nemo twice, once at the theatre and once on DVD with my nieces and nephews. It was a great movie, but I still don't get it out to watch very often. Eight times? Wow! Have you seen Monsters, Inc? That's the other animated movie I've seen a few times and don't tire of as easily as some.
