What goes through a dogs mind?

I have a white german shepard puppy. I just went to the door to see what she was up to since, usually, when she is outside she is right by the door waiting to be let back in to get under my feet. There she was happily chewing on a pinecone. I dont normally let her chew on them because then I have all these little prickly things in the yard for me to step on. She looked up at me, stared, and went back to her pine cone. After a few seconds she looked up again and I could swear that she covered it with her paw so I wouldnt see it. lol Anybody had anything similiar happen like that? Do you kinda think that you dog is a little more "human" than you thought they should be?

Oh definitely. But I don't think I'd really want to know what was going through their minds... they probably think we're pretty dumb.

Dog is an very clever animal.
I like to treat dog as kids,
and believe many other people do so.
My baby also like a small kids.
If you make her angry,
she will not walk near to you,
even you call her.
If you make her happy,
she will come near to you and play with you.
They have their emotion too.

That is exactly how Dutchess is, she even gives me the cold shoulder if i scold her.

I don't know if I would call what some dogs do as being more "human". I think it is more along the lines of "wiser", "smarter", "better informed", "saner" than humans. They certainly don't do some of the really dumb things humans do and, at the same time, they enterain and love their humans despite what their humans do to them.
Thank you for that great word picture of your dog.
