All of my clothes were bought at Sears growing up and then a clothing store Anthony's in high school.Ya'll are going to think this is silly but we shopped at Sears so much when I was six someone asked me where I came from and ya'll can guess my reply-Sears.That was back in the sixties when all we had was department stores.

Oh Sears would have been much too expensive! I vaguely recall that they would have these "back to school" specials. Little plaid dresses with white collars. Always modelled by really cute kids. I always wanted one of those but never got one. For us shopping at department stores was limited to just looking arouond. Any actual purchases would be made at an outlet store like Zody's. Once in a while we'd get something at K-mart. But there wasn't that much choice there.

Most of my clothes were bought at JC Penneys. I still shop there. But, in high school, I got a lot of my clothes at Fashion Bug and the Deb, I don't even know if the Deb is still around. But, those were THE stores to shop in when I was in high school.
