I always wanted to have a book published but everytime I start thinking about it I get overwhelmed. Does anyone know where I can find good information on this subject. I love to write and have written a few things in the past years. Most of the things I like to write are inspirational and some fiction. I am thinking of creating a childrens book with my son because he has a great imagination. Any help would be appreciated.

Well, every once and a while I see potential writers like you that have good imagination and if you feel like you want to get publishing, I think you should go with that. I write poetry and submit it to local publishers. But there are many places to publish a book but if I think that you should get your peers and all the support you can get first -somebody behind you. As for where and how, I can't tell you that but I hope all goes well for you.

Look, just write the book. Then look for a publisher who will probably take you on. It's overwhelming when you are trying to do all the steps at the same time. That's why, if you only work on one part at a time, you won't feel overly stressed out about it.
