What do you think is the need of the hour that the Christians in general need to do? Where should we emphasise?

Being a good Christian is a daily progress. Often it's a road we must take alone. But, it is nice to meet similar minded people along the way. Right now, we're in the evening time, just waiting for the Lord's return. It's never too late to help others to the light. Just stay true to what you know is right. Be well! Blessings upon you.

I know this may sound a little strange, but I think that most of us need to put a stronger emphasis on spending "alone" time with God. Some people have told me that they really don't know what it means to have God "speak to them." When I ask them how much time they spend with the Lord, they sadly say that they spend only a few minutes in prayer (their "quiet time"). They pray for their family, their relationships, their finances, and all that's good. The hard part is waiting before the Lord. It breaks my heart when good, loving people have never experienced the peace which comes from being in the presence of the Lord. Just you and God. After times like this, the scripture is so much clearer to me. I just talk to the Lord and mostly thank Him for all He has done for me, like, covering me with His blood, filling me with His Holy Spirit, and giving me a hunger for His Word.

Matthew 6.33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Mark 15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand all the best urban

This is a very deep question but the first thing that comes to mind is for us Christians to live to the teachings of Jesus Christ and be Christ like in our ways, thoughts & deeds. Jesus Christ is love and all of us should live our lives in love and in Jesus' name.

I think we need to stop taking the slack about being tolerant. Our country was founded on Christianity and now we are suppose to allow everything under the sun. We need to stand up and voice the truth.

I love everyone's answers...great topic! I think we, as a community of followers, need to get ourselves together. The petty fights in individual churches, the "mudslinging" at other faiths... I'd never suggest being cruel to anyone, for any reason, but when we portray so much negativity with each other...who else is going to want to join us? We need to get back to the basics...remembering WHY we are here, WHO we should be thankful for, WHAT we are called to do, LISTEN to the Holy Spirit as He moves us to do what we are supposed to be doing. A lot less talk and a lot more action!

Wow... you came up with a great answer. Talk less, act more... In fact, St. Francis of Assisi once said something like, "preach the good news, and if possible use words." Let the action do the talking kind of thing... thanks for responding:-)
